FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
Why can't the machine turn on after receiving it?
Please check whether the power cord is connected to the oscilloscope and whether the socket is providing power. If both are correct, please try replacing the mobile phone charging adapter and test it again. If the issue persists and the machine is still unable to start, please contact customer service for a replacement.
Why is there no waveform displayed during the test, with only one line remaining on the screen?
Please check whether the pause button has been pressed. If not, press the [Auto] button once. If the issue persists, it may indicate that the signal source has no signal output or there could be a problem with the probe line, such as a short circuit or an open circuit. Please use a multimeter to check whether the probe and signal source are functioning normally.
Why does the waveform run up and down when testing the signal, and why can't I see the waveform, only multiple online and offline beats?
Set the trigger mode to auto and then press the [auto] button once. If the issue persists, the probe's clamp may not be grounded or the probe's clamp end may be open circuit. Please check the probe's integrity with a multimeter.
Why would you measure a battery or other DC voltage without a waveform?
The battery voltage signal is a stable DC signal, devoid of a curved waveform. In DC-coupled mode, adjusting the vertical sensitivity results in an upward or downward offset straight line waveform. However, if AC coupling is employed, regardless of adjustment attempts, no waveform is observed.
Why is the peak value of Vpp more than 600 V, rather than 220 V or 310 V, when measuring the voltage waveform of the city power?
The city power's 220V is a symmetrical AC signal, with the positive peak voltage (maximum value) at +310V and the negative peak voltage (minimum value) at -310V. Therefore, the peak-to-peak value is 620V. The standard measurement parameter is the effective value, often denoted as the RMS value. At this standard, the voltage of 220V is referenced. However, the effective value of municipal voltage can fluctuate from 180V to 260V. Consequently, the peak Vpp falls within the range of 507V to 733V.
